#1. St. Louis Blues Exhibition at 10th Street Gallery
Third Degree Fused Glass artist Doretha Washington is one of many artists showcasing artwork at 10th Street Gallery this weekend! This showcase exhibits the artwork of St. Louis area creatives, inspired by St. Louis’ influence in the support of blues musicians and innovators. This opening coincides with the grand opening of the National Blues Museum in Downtown St. Louis, which is “dedicated exclusively to preserving and honoring the national and international story of the Blues and its impact on American culture in the United States.” FREE Admission.
#2. Gateway 180’s Art: Live! Fundraiser at the Randall Gallery
Flameworker Laura Simone will be doing live flameworking demonstrations this Friday at the Randall Gallery for Gateway 180’s Art Live! event. This fundraiser, which features three other St. Louis area artists, raises money for supporting “women, children and families experiencing the unimaginable burden of homelessness. [They] provide safe, nurturing emergency shelter and supportive housing services designed to empower adults and families to become independent and permanently housed.” Guests will have the opportunity to bid on the artists’ works in progress in a live auction. Tickets cost $150 each. Click here to purchase tickets.
