Every month we hear from kids and their parents who’d like to sign them up for the Sampler, or an Intensive. While it can be a difficult conversation to have with the kids, parents always understand that putting the safety of children first sometimes means saying “you’re not quite ready for this class.”
That being said, the answer doesn’t have to be “no,” it could be “wait till June.” Our camps create a safe and fun environment where children can learn these complex techniques at the proper pace, while completing projects that demonstrate how awesome learning should be.
In this week-long, all-day camp, students will learn to work in all 3 of our glass art studios. Days will be split between sculpting molten glass in the glassblowing studio; cutting, designing, and fusing cold glass in the kiln working studio; and melting and manipulating colorful glass rods with torches and tools in the flameworking studio. Small groups of kids working with instructors in 3hr blocks means that each session can be individualized to meet the needs of students and each child gets the attention that they need. Having sessions in 2 studios each day means that the experience stays fun and fresh in each area.
