Every month, as a part of our Third Friday open house, Third Degree hosts a new art exhibition in the East Gallery. This month, we are thrilled to have the work of Bob Hartzell, local artist in the Saint Louis community.
ON DISPLAY: “Recent Works”

Bob Hartzell is a print maker, painter and sculptor, who is active in community arts and education. He grew up in a series of small Missouri towns as he followed his education administrator father from school to school. After a few failed attempts that a degree and at Truman he moved to Chicago where he completed his BFA at the school of the Art Institute of Chicago.
During his 20 year unofficial fellowship in the Art and music scene in Chicago he worked at Steve Walters’s Screwball Press and as a lighting director at the rock club Lounge Ax.
Bob received an MFA in Fibers from University of Missouri in Columbia and now resides in St. Louis.
A lifelong learner, Bob Hartzell continually strives to improve his work by ever increasing his skill set. Merging traditional printmaking with laser cutting technology evidenced by an array of new and unique forms.
“Recent Works” by Bob Hartzell will be on display until Wednesday, February 13.
