We at Third Degree love glass (of course) but we also love supporting the arts in St. Louis! We proudly display a different artist’s (or art group’s) 2-D artwork in our East Gallery so it can be enjoyed by gallery guests and event attendees alike!
This month we’re featuring Gray Matters, by ArtFiber St. Louis, a beautiful collection of fiber art. Part of Innovations in Textiles 10, this city-wide exhibit investigates contemporary fiber art. Featuring the work of Drew Donnelly Benage, Laura Saunders Kaiser, Deb Lewis, Carol Neumann, and Pat Owoc.
Innovations in Textiles 10 is a collaborative event in the St. Louis, MO, region that investigates the state of contemporary textile arts. Over a dozen nonprofit and private arts organizations join forces to present exhibitions related to fiber art created by national and international artists. Activities include workshops, lectures, gallery tours, and community programs. Innovations in Textiles 10 serves to enlighten the community with a unique aesthetic prospective on fiber art featuring various materials and techniques. The broad range of programming offered mirrors the symposium’s dedication to the investigation of innovative ideas.
