NOW ON DISPLAY: Life Cycles by Leslie Song
Every month, Third Degree welcomes a new artist or art group to showcase their work in our East Gallery as part of our Third Friday open house. This month, we are excited to welcome the beautiful artwork of Leslie Song, titled Life Cycles.
Life Cycles explores the microcosmic connections between specimen(s) and environment. The imagery depicts diverse symbiotic relationships and various stages of process life cycles, beginning with reproduction and ending with death/renewal. Within each imagined ecosystem exhibits a subtle and surreal system of response to the consequence of the earth’s changing climate.
Leslie is a visual artist whose works encompasses drawings, paintings, and surface design. She explores a range of themes including memory, identity, dreams, and our relationship with the natural world. Leslie studied Painting and Fiber Art at Truman State University and Textile Design at Philadelphia University.
You can view Leslie’s incredible work in our gallery anytime 10:00a-5:00p, Monday-Saturday. Show ends on Wednesday, May 17.
