Third Degree is proud to welcome Jen Fuller to the team as our new Gallery Assistant!
Before Third Degree snatched her up, Jen spent the last 10 years working at Mangia Italiano, a bar and restaurant in South St. Louis City. After starting a family with her partner, she finished her BFA and took a few months off without much of a plan, besides getting away from working late nights. The job opening ad Third Degree posted ignited an “instinctual” feeling, as Jen describes it, as if there were a “universal connection” drawing her to our studios.
Outside of being a skilled printmaker and mom, Jen is a long time Southsider and a huge advocate for urban revitalization, citing her love for the character and history that accompanies Saint Louis’s oldest neighborhoods. She spends most of her spare time in her kitchen preparing foods, her newest “fad” being fermenting any vegetable she can get her hands on.
In her short time here, Jen has already discovered her passion for glass, just like all of our staff and artists. “My favorite part of my job is learning about glass and sharing the information with others. I love watching people in amazement after perusing the gallery, making an item in a studio or watching a demonstration,” she says. “I look forward to growing with Third Degree and getting my hands dirty in the studios.”
Come stop by our gallery and welcome Jen to the Third Degree community!
We’re open 10:00a-5:00p, Monday-Saturday.
