Every month at Third Friday, Third Degree welcomes a new local artist to showcase their work in our East Gallery. This month, we are showcasing the brilliantly colorful artwork of Sherry Salant in her showcase, “Fueled by Color.”
You can’t help but notice the vibrantly colored artwork, brought to life by a combination of alcohol ink and digital manipulation, when you step into our gallery. Sherry finds inspiration for these dazzling images by simply looking at the natural world; from the mundane to the fantastic. Sherry’s goal is to show the viewer how both ends of that spectrum convey beauty that many times we are in too much of a hurry to observe. “We miss that awe around us every day,” she says.
