Now On Display: “Camp:Create!” by Artscope

As a community-minded business, Third Degree features a new artist or arts organization on the north wall of the East Gallery. Currently featured is the work of teaching artists and campers of Artscope, a local children’s arts organization.

Artscope’s Camp:Create! Campers and staffers debuted a collection of artwork created this summer at Third Friday, featuring the work of campers Macon Earll, Isabelle Eberhardt, Joey Hunter, Beck Millet, Calvin Anderson, Matt Ernst, Petra Anderson, Caelli Millett, Jenna Kennison, Lucia Helsig, group work by the students at Printastic! Camp, and staffers Addoley Dzegede, Emily Hemeyer, and Lauren Lane.

Camp:Create! is an outdoor creativity camp located in Tower Grove Park that provides hours of nonstop fun for campers entering K-6th grades. Our days are filled with interactive art projects, weekly special guests for special instruction, sing-a-longs, multicultural entertainment, explorations of Tower Grove Park, a focus on using recycled materials, and splashy fun in the wading fountain! Our camp is designed to encourage independent, innovative, and critical thinking skills through creative art projects and team building.

Formerly SCOSaG, Artscope has provided a safe and educational environment for children to explore the Arts since 2002. With arts education programs and ongoing community collaborations, Artscope is known as one of the best arts organizations for children in Saint Louis City. By focusing on the innate creativity of children, Artscope is able to provide open and imaginative arts education to children of all abilities and backgrounds.
