As a community of glass artists, Third Degree proudly welcomes leaders in the glass world to come in and teach master classes.
This November, the Flameworking studio welcomes glass sculpture artist Joy Munshower to teach her master class, “Horses and Critters.”
Creating sculptures in bas-relief, Joy will show you how to layer the glass into bones, muscles, feathers or fur to create realistic animal medallions. This class will cover horses, hedgehogs and more!
Joy comes from a background of bronze sculptural work and interior design, including forming her own handmade ceramic tiles. Joy’s glass sculptural work is recognized nationally, allowing her to travel around the country and teach her technique.
“Horses and Critters” is an advanced class for flameworkers with at least six months experience in flameworking.
Find out more about Joy on her website, or sign up for her class here!
