The St. Louis Fire Technicians have been a Third Friday favorite for years! Fusing together flow arts, dance, choreography, comedy, theater, and the elements of fire and glow, The Fire Technicians create a truly unique and face melting show of art in motion. Originally conceived in June of 2006 with the collaboration of 5 poi artists, Fire Technicians Performance Troupe has since grown to over 20 members in three major metropolitan areas, and now features more than 10 styles of highly refined fire artistry: Poi, Double Staff, Contact Staff, Rope-Dart, Nunchaku, Hoop, Devil-Sticks, Belly Dance, Fire Breathing and Eating. Using these, the Fire Techs strive to create live and unique performance art that literally mesmerizes everyone. Demonstrating fluid, technical and choreographed performances, while still having the versatility to customize each display to suit any atmosphere.
