Who’s news? Third Degree Glass artists! We cheer:
Doretha Washington’s glass art has been selected into three exhibits: 1) The Hard Line (ended Dec. 5, Framations Gallery). 2) 2-5-Oh! Surprise, Sadness and Struggle in the Mound City at Salon 53, 25 artists selected from the US to commemorate the 250th Anniversary of St. Louis’ Founding. Opens February 22. 3) Ebony Creations, Portfolio Gallery in collaboration with Edwardsville Art Center, Through February 28.
Mike Hayes, featured in Art Starts Here, Missouri Arts Council e-zine, Jan. edition. It showcases 10 Missouri glass artists created Missouri Arts Awards. Hayes’ award, created in 2007, was also selected as the signature image at the top of the e-article.
Congratulations to Directions in Design, who was awarded 3rd place in the Powder Room category at St. Louis At Home Architect & Designer Awards, presented by St. Louis At Home and Muse Studio. Cindy Belmont, ASID of Directions in Design, tapped into Third Degree glass artists to join the collaborative team of artists and craftsmen who created the “art-full” hall bath, Hecker residence.
