Not all glass artwork is made at (literally) flaming hot temperatures. We at Third Degree boast three amazing studios, one of them being the Fused Glass studio! Most people associate our Fused Glass studio with making jewelry or nightlights at our Third Fridays, but there are so many more possibilities!
With our Path to Independence course, our teaching artists will help transition you from student to independent renter in no time at all! All you have to do is pick your studio, then complete four levels of instruction – starting with the basics in Level 1 and finishing with supervised independent work in Level 4. You can complete each level in two ways:
In the Fused Glass Path to Independence course, you will use the basic tools of the trade to learn how to cut glass and employ different techniques to create your own designs. You will then learn how to load and program our kilns for the perfect temperature for firing your work. In no time, you will be creating original glass artwork in the studio, and maybe even selling those pieces in the gallery!
