Update: October 17, 2019
We are getting very close to completion!
Just today, crews have started installing the corten steel on the exterior of our new addition. Some interior work is still underway, though the drywall is almost finished. We are looking forward to having this completed to welcome guests in through our new courtyard and entrance!

Update: August 2, 2019
A lot has happened since our last update! Construction crews have been working tirelessly to get this new structure up!
As of this update, the foundation has been poured and both interior and exterior walls have been almost completely framed. Electrical and plumbing work continues, and we hope to have the big new exterior windows and doors installed soon.
We are still open seven days a week to the public! The east parking lot is still open and accessible, and our entrance is through the courtyard off of Delmar Blvd. Please read the info below if you have any questions or concerns.
Update: March 21, 2019
After two months of volatile weather, we have finally broken ground on the lawn! Crews have begun digging up the (now former) lawn and pouring the concrete bases and foundation for the new structures.

After more than 16 years in business, we are excited to announce a major expansion project, starting in January 2019!
This project, spearheaded by our co-founders Doug Auer and Jim McKelvey and assisted by the amazing architects at Mademan Design, will expand TDGF’s footprint into the lawn between our current building and parking lot. The addition will not alter the original architecture from the 1920’s; rather, the new addition will instead highlight our building’s unique features while welcoming guests into an eye-catching courtyard mimicking our current courtyard facing Delmar Blvd. Click on the arrows to see the concept drawings below.
Guests visiting during this time frame will be redirected to our entrance through the courtyard off Delmar Blvd.
We still continue to operate as usual, with private events, Glass Art Experiences and classes running 7 days a week. Our current event and studio spaces will not be affected during construction.
