Cindy Vaupel won July’s Third Friday’s raffle for Ornaments in a Bell Jar. She was in St. Louis visiting family when she stopped by Third Degree to browse the gallery. “St. Louis is our second home so when I googled places that make pendant lights and saw Third Degree, I made it my mission to come by,” explained Vaupel. “I also asked a friend who’s from St. Louis about Third Degree and she said they had taken classes and loved it.“
While at Third Degree on Friday afternoon she learned that Third Friday was happening that very evening. She decided to bring her family instead of going to the ball game. It was a homerun – and more! “My kids were so enamored with everything they experienced,” she said. “From my 78 year old mom to my 12 year old daughter Sophia, there was something for everyone to be engaged in. And then to find out that I won the raffle?! I’m still in shock!”
Vaupel will put the Ornaments in a Bell Jar on the dining room table for now. “We’re building a new home and while we are not avid art collectors, we are excited about adding glass, including custom pendant lights by Third Degree artists.”
