MEET THE INSTRUCTOR

Eileen has been involved with some facet of art for as long as she can remember. She has taught art and has taken classes throughout her whole life but, she says, “it seems that I found my niche when I discovered glass and flameworking.”

Eileen had been designing jewelry for about 10 years and found herself frustrated by the lack of certain colored beads. She finally told her husband she’d had enough, and was going to have to make them herself, inspiring him to buy her her first flameworking class at Third Degree for Christmas in 2009. Eileen immediately fell in love with the fire and the fun. Best of all, she adds, she could finally make those beads for her jewelry that she saw in her head – after plenty of practice, of course.

Eileen loves using her beads and incorporating them into her designs. She likes to interpret nature with a touch of whimsy. Her motto is, “That might work.” Eileen continues to take Master Classes and intends to take many more to hone her craft. Eileen is truly passionate for her artform, and shares it with others through teaching and crafting gifts for her friends and family.
