Fall is a great time to get started with glass! We’ve got a whole lineup of fun and amazing classes through the month of October!
Pumpkin Experience | Saturdays, Oct. 3, 10 & 24 | 10:00a – 4:00p | $75
Who doesn’t want a glass pumpkin? Work one-on-one with an artist as they introduce you to the tools and techniques of glassblowing and assist you in creating a one of a kind pumpkin in just 30 minutes! Time slots given approximately one week before class.
Glass 1 | Tuesdays, Oct. 6 – 27 | 5:30p – 8:30p | $300
You will be thoroughly introduced to the basics of glassblowing, beginning with learning to comfortably use the standard tools to manipulate the material and navigate the studio with hot glass. By the end of the class you will know the basic vessel form: a cylinder.
Glass 1.5 | Sundays, Oct. 4 – 25 | 12:30p – 3:30p | $300
Picks up where Glass 1 lets off! This class is the second step on the path to independence in the glassblowing studio. Students will move from the cylinder to the amphora, learning bit work, proper assisting, and improving on earlier learned techniques along the way.
Glass 2: Rental Prep | Sundays, Oct. 4 – 11 | 4:00p-7:00p | $325
The name really does say it all. This class introduces studio equipment usage/awareness to the aspiring glassblower, while continuing to hone technical skills. Students will be given the necessary skills/knowledge to begin the move from student to renter.
Flameworking Intensive | Saturday, October 31 | 10:00a – 4:00p | $165
One full day in our glass bead making class with our instructor will prepare you for independent torch time. Learn basics of glass beadmaking: from melting glass rods to manipulating them into interesting shapes and designs. This class packs a lot of information in a short time, so be ready! This class uses soft glass only.
