Every month as a part of our Third Friday open house, Third Degree welcomes a new local artist or art group to showcase their work in our East Gallery. This month, we proudly welcome back Women in Focus St. Louis in a showcase of the group’s most prized photographic work.
Women In Focus St. Louis is an artist-initiated organization of women photographers who have joined together to support and promote the photographic arts. The first group was started in Atlanta in 1993 by Gittel Price. Tiffany Weems founded the groups in Chicago, St. Louis and most recently Las Vegas. The group meets once a month at the Webster Groves Public Library. They have exhibited their work in St. Louis galleries since the group debuted in 2015. Caren Libby is the current President of Women in Focus St. Louis.
They had their first show at Third Degree Glass Factory in February 2017. They’re very excited to have the opportunity to exhibit some of their personal favorites in this new gallery show, featuring a wide range of subjects, including travel, nature, portraits, architecture and fleeting moments that are frozen in time by the click of a camera.
Women in Focus Favorites will be on display until May 16, 2018.
