We at Third Degree love glass (of course), but we also love to support artists in other media! Every month at Third Friday we showcase a new 2-D artist’s work in our East Gallery. This month we are featuring “St. Louis Icons” by John Salozzo.
John Salozzo’s painting style has been called elegant realism. Many times mistaken as photographs, his works are fully rendered paintings on board or canvas. John is best known for his album cover art for the rock band Boston, for which he was awarded a platinum album. The St. Louis Icons series is a ten year project that is inspired by what icons people who live in this great city have experienced, and which have formed lasting memories. A coffee table book will be published when the series is complete.
