Commemorate Your Wedding with a Glass Ceremony

Glass Ceremonies: A Unique Take on the Traditional Unity Ceremony

Third Degree takes the idea of a Unity Ceremony to the next level with our custom Glass Ceremony. Much like a sand ceremony, couples combine colored glass crystals called frit as a symbol of their love and unity during their wedding ceremony.

First, couples order their two or more colors of glass frit.

After combining the frit during their wedding ceremony, couples bring their combined glass to Third Degree, where they will work with a professional glass artist to design a one-of-a-kind commemorative work of glass art. The combined colors will be permanently fused together as they are heated in a 2000 degree furnace.

From bowls and platters to molded vases or sculpted glass objets d’art, couples have the freedom to decide what glass creation works best!  Even better: couples can order multiple pieces with their combined frit, such as personalized gifts of thanks for family or the wedding party, including ornaments, wine bottle stoppers, shot glasses, and much more!

Ceremony and reception clients at Third Degree can also keep their guests involved in the glassmaking process! After the ceremony, the combined glass can be delivered to our Glassblowing studio, where their piece can be created for their guests during a live glassblowing demonstration. From start to finish, guests will be wowed by the expert craftsmanship of our artists while a beautiful unique piece takes shape.
